How does this work?

Our Advanced Couples Therapy Mentorship Program combines self-paced online learning with interactive components for a comprehensive training experience. You'll start with pre-recorded sessions teaching advanced therapy strategies including the Gottman Method, followed by weekly 60-minute roundtable discussions to apply these techniques to real-world cases.

What’s covered in this program?

The program covers critical topics for modern couples therapy, such as advanced interventions for high-conflict couples, strategies for enhancing intimacy, and techniques for building relationship resilience. From foundational principles to sophisticated therapeutic techniques, this program equips you to manage complex cases effectively.

How long do I get access?

You'll have lifelong access to all video content and course updates for as long as they are hosted on our platform. Access to live roundtable meetings concludes after your mentorship period ends.

Is this program virtual?

Yes, all components, including the video library and live roundtable discussions, are hosted virtually via Zoom, ensuring flexibility and accessibility regardless of your location.

How many hours of videos are involved?

The mentorship includes over 130 hours of video content across various modules, providing a comprehensive learning experience on a wide range of topics relevant to advanced couples therapy.

Is there a time requirement to complete the program?

While video content is available for ongoing access, we recommend participating in the roundtable discussions within three months of starting to maximize learning and application of the material.

Can I get CEU's or CME's?

Yes, assessments are required to earn Continuing Education Units and verify your mastery of the course material. Gottman Level 1 provides 11 hours of CEU's. Level 2 provides 20 CEU's for most levels of licensure in the United States. Over the pandemic, many smaller CME companies were wiped out after aggressive lobbying from the APA to take control of the industry again. We are currently seeking approval from CEU providers for our additional courses. We'll post here when there's an update for the other courses. The likelihood that they will pass is high, we just need to do the extensive paperwork. (Updated July 2024)

Can this lead to Gottman Certification?

Yes! Our Level 1 and Level 2 count toward your Gottman training process. You must complete a short test to send into the Gottman Institute, which also grants your CEU's, if needed.

Who is this program for, and not for?

This program is suitable for therapists at all licensure levels and professionals such as coaches or clergy who work with couples. It's designed to deepen your understanding of complex couple dynamics and broaden your therapeutic techniques.

How do the Roundtable meetings work?

The roundtable meetings are designed to be engaging and practical, allowing for in-depth discussion of therapy techniques and case studies. Meetings occur weekly and include a refundable deposit to ensure attendance and participation.

What happens during the group mentorship discussion?

These sessions allow for interactive discussion on applying therapy techniques to your specific cases, enhancing the integration of learning with practical experience. They're designed for you to bring challenging cases to the sessions week after week, as you see fit, so that you can experience steady incremental progress and learning.

When, where, and how long are the meetings? How many students at a time?

The meetings are 60 minutes, you must register 24 hours prior, and they are currently held Tuesdays at 2pm (Pacific Time). Currently they are capped at five students, but that is subject to change depending on the cohort.

How long do I have to use the Roundtable meeting access? Can I buy now and start later?

Upon enrolling in the Mentorship program, you will have three months to initiate your three-month access to the weekly Roundtable meetings. This arrangement allows you to purchase now and schedule your start date later, accommodating your other commitments. For instance, if you purchase access in September, you may opt to begin your sessions any time up until December. Please inform us of your planned start date at the time of purchase so we can prepare accordingly. If you anticipate needing more flexibility, contact us prior to purchasing to discuss possible extensions.

What if I miss a group Roundtable session?

You can reschedule for the next available session as long as you are in good standing in the program, and within your three-month window of access (see above Q&A). You must cancel within 24 hours, as your space removes an opportunity for someone else to attend. Recordings may occasionally be available, depending on the session content.

Do I have to attend a certain number of Roundtable sessions?

Unlike grad school, you're allowed to skip as much class as you want. But we'll miss you, so how about coming at least once? :)

I only want consultation. Can I just do Roundtable meetings for 3 months? Can I go longer than 3 months?

What does this cost?

Yes, verified graduate school students and pre-licensed clinicians receive a $50 refund after enrollment as a support for their educational journey.
